The Ivenacker oaks

The Ivenacker oaks, the up to 1.000 Should be years old, are in a very attractive park. When the weather is nice you can go for a walk here.

We noticed, that some of the oaks were probably already dead. In any case, they no longer had any leaves. In other places, trees had already fallen over and you left them there and left them to decay naturally.

There were also some huge oak trees there, where one can assume based on the size and circumference of the trunk, that really 1.000 Years than are. These trees were still alive or. they had fresh leaves.

Which surprised us, was a herd of fallow deer, who stayed on the path without any fencing. The animals were also not afraid of the visitors and also seemed to feel good.

After half an hour on the way, you come to a kiosk with a café. We also took a break there and drank coffee. Here the fallow deer was maybe 10m away from the table. It was really a great experience. You don't normally get that close to the animals.

Tree top path

The Tree top path did not exist when we visited. He was on 30. August 2017 opened. This is of course an additional incentive to visit.

Conclusion

When the weather is nice, a trip to the Ivenacker Eichen is worthwhile. Since there is now also the treetop path, you can spend some time here. We therefore recommend it.
